By: Laura Worhacz Week I theme: "MARY! TEACH US THE LIFE OF ADORATION!" READING Please read pages 10-15 in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Eymard Library Vol. 7 Or pages 30-35 on the online book. You can find the link here: http://archive.org/stream/monthofourladyof00eymauoft#page/30/mode/1up St Peter Julian Eymard's words: "Jesus is the King of the Eucharist, and He wishes only trained servitors in His court, only those who have served their apprenticeship. One must learn to serve before presenting oneself to the King. All Mary's life -taken as a whole- may be summed up in this one word-adoration; for adoration is the perfect service of God, and it embraces all the duties of the creature toward the Creator." abbrev.text MEDITATION When our lives become a continuous offering, without looking to "be done," we will be in accord with our Lady who lived in perpetual Adoration of the Body of Christ. She lived a life of perpetual giving, perpetual offering, and perpetually serving. Mary's life was filled with a never-ending gift of herself to God. It pleased her to provide. By this example, we see how life can become a living prayer. When we become aware of the presence of God in every moment, we are taking part in a life of love. Offering one's daily duties to God obliges us to labor for the salvation of the souls whom He has entrusted to us. Each and every encounter, each and every person placed in our path is an opportunity for us to love Jesus. This is the promise of the Father. Laura SEND Today, offer a hidden sacrifice to God by choosing the heavier cross in serving someone in need of your assistance, even within your own home. PRAYER Please pray the Ave Maris Stella to accompany the daily readings for Week I. You may choose to continue the daily recitation of the Veni Creator. Ave Maris Stella Hail bright star of ocean, God's own Mother blest, Ever sinless Virgin, Gate of heavenly rest. Taking that sweet Ave, Which from Gabriel came, Peace confirm within us, Changing Eva's name. Break the captives' fetters, Light on blindness pour, All our ills expelling, Every bliss implore. Show thyself a Mother; May the Word Divine, Born for us thy Infant, Hear our prayers through thine. Virgin all excelling, Mildest of the mild, Freed from guilt, preserve us, Pure and undefiled. Keep our life all spotless, Make our way secure, Till we find in Jesus, Joy forevermore. Through the highest heaven To the Almighty Three, Father, Son and Spirit, One same glory be. Amen.
