Week I theme: "MARY! TEACH US THE LIFE OF ADORATION!". READING Please read pages 16-21 in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Eymard Library Vol. 7 (Or pages 35-40 on the online book. You can find the link here:) http://archive.org/stream/monthofourladyof00eymauoft#page/35/mode/1up St Peter Julian Eymard's words: Mary's Immaculate Conception was foretold in the terrestrial Paradise. The Most Holy Virgin is that blessed woman who was to crush with her heel the head of the infernal serpent. God in creating Mary immaculate, scores His great victory over the devil; He reestablishes His sovereignty over the earth, God reenters creation as Master! But behold Mary!... God overshadows her;... Mary is, by her purity, God's paradise: with her He will renew the world. MEDITATION In the forward we are told St. Peter Julian Eymard can be repetitive in his notes so we ask, "Why?" What instruction is he trying to place in our heads that we may let the message enter our hearts? Day 2 sends us directly into the heart and mind of God for His way to our redemption. This restoration in our relationship with the Father needed to be pure. Through Our Lady's Immaculate Conception, She was able to carry the Mercy of God's love into the world. We are consecrating our life to God by the way of our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament. It is amazing that our overall theme for this consecration is to "Enter into thy womb" (Thank you Father William Fickel,SSS for this imagery). To become pure we need to enter into the same womb that was left Immaculate so we too can be born of Mary. Our Blessed Lady is a gift from God to show us the way of purity. She will clothe us in the virtues of Her Love. "Blessed are the pure of heart, for they will see God." (Matthew 5:8) We see God by living out the Eucharist; we Receive by the Love that we give; by the sacrifices we make for our communities, families and friends. The incarnate life of Jesus makes it possible to make everyday a new beginning; to make everyday a pure act of thanksgiving; to make everyday a reciprocal act of love by our Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. If you can not get to daily Mass, offer a spiritual Communion. In this Reception of Holy Communion we come with the faith that longs to be Pure of Heart. "MARY! TEACH US THE LIFE OF ADORATION!".....We come into a world in need of our baptismal life and promise of the Heavenly Father. SEND Continue to journal. Pray through Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. As you write, search deep in your soul for the things that my be keeping you from purity of heart (old wounds, forgiveness that needs to be given and taken, ...). Plan on making a good Confession with the specific intention for your consecration vows. Consecration is a promise, we simply promise to try to live in the Grace of God. Mary is the gift God has given us to bring us closest to His Son, Jesus. Please pray the Ave Maris Stella to accompany the daily readings for Week I. You may choose to continue the daily recitation of the Veni Creator. Our Lady of The Blessed Sacrament, pray for us., Laura PRAYER Ave Maris Stella Hail bright star of ocean, God's own Mother blest, Ever sinless Virgin, Gate of heavenly rest. Taking that sweet Ave, Which from Gabriel came, Peace confirm within us, Changing Eva's name. Break the captives' fetters, Light on blindness pour, All our ills expelling, Every bliss implore. Show thyself a Mother; May the Word Divine, Born for us thy Infant, Hear our prayers through thine. Virgin all excelling, Mildest of the mild, Freed from guilt, preserve us, Pure and undefiled. Keep our life all spotless, Make our way secure, Till we find in Jesus, Joy forevermore. Through the highest heaven To the Almighty Three, Father, Son and Spirit, One same glory be. Amen.
