By Laura Worhacz "O Mary, teach us the life of adoration. Teach us to see, as you did, every mystery and every grace in the Eucharist, to relive the gospel story of Jesus. Jesus has loved me unto death; Love, such is the royal virtue of the Christian. The Apostles began first by loving Jesus and then went to evangelize the nations in the midst of all the dangers and all the sacrifices of their apostolate. They were new men, with minds open to the most sublime truths and mysteries; with a faith purified and a love ennobled; with virtues so strong and sublime that they are a subject of wonder to the most perfect. They were happy to have been judged worthy of suffering for the love of the Lord Jesus. They went to their death as others would triumph." (St. Peter Julian Eymard, Eymard Library, Vol. 7) Dearest Eucharistic Family, Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, celebrated May 13th since 1856 is the first in the likeness of her Son to go to her death so others would triumph. In the reciprocal gift of Mary's Love for Jesus, the mystery of the Eucharistic life streamed out into the world. Mary's death was her love found in her fiat, her yes to hand her life over in exchange for an eternal promise; HEAVEN. Mary is also the first to ennoble virtues so strong and sublime found through Mary's adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, from the moment of conception into an eternal dwelling of her soul. "Every mystery and every grace in the Eucharist" this can be found by us so the Gospel of Jesus Christ may live for all eternity. In our consecration promise we offer everything to Jesus through our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The promise we make is as real as we engage it to be. Having a conscious awareness daily of what we have done in consecrating our lives will make us "new men", new children of God. The promise we make may even be a vow offered to the Lord from the depths of your hearts and souls unknown the world, however known to God by hidden sacrifices of Love offered. To breathe a spirit of evangelization is to breathe in the Holy Spirit in hope to expel all darkness. We die to ourselves in hope of seeing the triumph of others; this is the glory of Jesus Eucharistic and the glory of our Holy Mother, Mary. Prayer to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Blessed are you Mary exalted daughter of Sion! You are highly favoured and full of grace, for the spirit of God descended upon you. We magnify the Lord and rejoice with you for the gift of the word made flesh, bread of life and cup of joy. Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, our model in the cenacle, pray for us that we may become what we receive, the body of Christ you son. Amen
