Do This In Memory of Me: Praying for Our Lady's Intentions

"On the day of her Immaculate Conception, Mary received a magnificent dowry in keeping with her sublime duties and her incomparable dignity as Mother of God. She received then that treasure of grace which was to make her the co-redemptrix of Mankind, partner in the work of salvation..." (St. Peter Julian Eymard: Vol. 7 Eymard Library)

Dearest Eucharistic Family,

The blog series, Do This In Memory of Me, will be dedicated to our consecration promise. What's next and where do we go from here? We keep our consecration promise alive never to be filed away, we live it. Mary received a magnificent dowry in keeping with her sublime duties. Mary's dowry, the property she offered her spouse, the Holy Spirit, is her life. We too need to keep a dowry by living in the excellence of Mary; we give the gift of our life to Our Heavenly Father. Mary has left us a standard of living, a level of attainment to achieve. First we need to be the child that takes hold of our Mother's hand and ask, "Mom how can I help you?" We can begin by praying for Our Lady's intentions; this is the duty of a consecrated child of Mary. We conform to her life in God. We become one with her through Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. We strive to raise ourselves up to all that is good, all that is holy, all that is true. "For the rest, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever modest, whatsoever just, whatsoever holy, whatsoever lovely, whatsoever of good fame, if there be any virtue, if any praise of discipline, think on these things." (Philippians 4:8) The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass should be the center of our lives; they should revolve around the Mass. The celebration of the Eucharist keeps our life in God with this possibility to keep all that is good and holy with us. Jesus lives in us through Holy Communion. Consecrated children should focus on the reception of Holy Communion daily either Sacramentally or Spiritually. First and foremost of importance is to keep our lives in the Eucharistic Lord. We are servants of the Blessed Sacrament; we partner with Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament in the work of salvation. We have a mission to enter into the heart and mind of our Holy Mother Church. From the beginning of its existence the call was to build the Eucharistic Kingdom of God on earth. Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, who received treasures of grace, makes us co-redeemers in this work of salvation.

It would be a good practice to offer daily the prayer to Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, having it direct your heart to the consecration promise, as a daily renewal.

Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament

Blessed are you, Mary exalted daughter of Sion!
You are highly favoured and full of grace, for the spirit of God descended upon you.
We magnify the Lord and rejoice with you for the gift of the Word made flesh, bread of life and cup of joy.
Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, our model of prayer in the cenacle, pray for us that we may become what we receive, the body of Christ your son.
Amen
