By: Laura Worhacz The Great Miracle of the Sun "The greatest miracle to occur since the Resurrection is also the only miracle ever precisely predicted as to date, time of day and location. Although it is popularly known as “The Miracle of the Sun” and October 13, 1917 has come to be known as “The Day the Sun Danced,” a great deal more took place. The solar phenomena included the dancing of the sun, its fluctuations in color, its swirling and its descending toward the earth." (https://www.bluearmy.com/the-story-of-fatima/) “O Virgin Immaculate, who, after the ascension of thy Divine Son, didst console thy exile on earth by the Real Presence of Jesus in the Sacrament, and didst spend before the tabernacle the greater part of thy days and even thy nights, make us comprehend the treasure we possess on the altar. Inspire us to visit often the God of Love in the Sacrament in which He abides to receive the homage that He deserves by so many titles, and to guide, protect, and console us in this exile!” (Saint Peter Julian Eymard Volume 7, Eymard Library) Dearest Eucharistic Family, The Day the Sun Danced, October 13th, 1917 when over 70,000 people witnessed a solar phenomenon, swirling fluctuations in color descending toward the earth. (WAF) Our Lady left us with some very powerful words at Fatima, “In the End My Immaculate Heart Will Triumph”. These words should be engraved in our own hearts, words to inspire the way we choose to live. After more than 100 years of Our Lady’s appearance at Fatima, there is a lot of confusion that still exists in the message. The Fatima message is a message of hope, a message of faith and a CALL for intercession from our mother. "Console us in this exile!" St. Peter Julian reminds us with these words of the need for our intimacy with God, our relationship with Jesus Eucharistic. In life a natural human response to suffering is to be skeptical, to mistrust, to not believe. There are many who do not believe that the consecration of Russia and the world was fulfilled in accordance with Our Lady’s request. There are some who believe the Church, the Magisterium, is withholding the Secret of Fatima, and some who believe the July 13th apparition is showing us the annihilation of the Catholic Church. Brothers and Sisters, we remember Jesus’ promise that the gates of Hell will NOT prevail. (Matt 16:18) We find the answer to the longing of our hearts in St. Peter Julian’s words in the above excerpt and they are words to remember, “the treasure we possess on the altar.” Perhaps our mother was requesting for each of us at Fatima to consecrate, to make holy each of our lives. To possess the power of the Holy Spirit by being receptive to this promise of our Heavenly Father in all His gifts of the Spirit. At Fatima, we were asked to practice the five first Saturday's in a spirit of reparation. We were asked to make Communions of Reparation. Moreover, the communions of reparation can be daily. As Mary’s consecrated children we unite our intentions to her Immaculate Heart. The title Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament was given to Mary through St. Peter Julian on May 13th, 1868. Although years before the Fatima appearance, this title is the fulfillment of why Mary visited the earth and God allowed the SUN TO DANCE. The Blessed Sacrament is the consecration Mary is hoping for us to be one with in hope of a fire that will be set ablaze throughout the whole world through the Eucharistic reign of Mary's children. The consecration request must begin with each heart, with the choices we make in hope to be made holy and to help others to become holy. The consecration request for world peace must begin with every person. There is not a magical act that will bring an era of peace to the world nor by offering words of a consecration prayer. The Altar of the Lord, the daily consecration at Holy Mass, the union of the Cenacle of our hearts to the Cenacle of the Altar is where the reign of peace will come at the request to consecrate the world to Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, pray for us your children. The sun dances in our souls upon the reception of Holy Communion, the solar phenomenon is ours daily in JESUS EUCHARISTIC.
