By: Laura Worhacz Welcome to the Consecration to Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament! For the next five weeks we will be journeying together to make a promise to the Mother of God that we will be ever more devoted to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Each week will have an overall theme with daily excerpts from St. Peter Julian Eymard, the Apostle of the Eucharist. There will be a meditation in preparation to making this promise to the Lord along with a daily prayer. Begin by opening your heart to the fullness of the Holy Spirit and imagine your Mother taking you by the hand. The consecration preparation will encourage our holiness with every new revelation of God's Grace. The daily posts will begin on February 13th and conclude on March 25th with the Consecration Promise. If you aspire extra reading please take some time to read the forward of the Eymard Library Vol. 7, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. There you will find the explanation for the contents of the book. The meditations were taken from the original sermons or conferences-notes of Father Eymard. You can read the book online by clicking on the button below. In preparation for the Consecration to Jesus through Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, please recite the Veni Creator each day this week. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (make the sign of the Cross.) We offer this prayer to you O Lord with the specific intention to empty thyself. Veni Creator COME, O Creator Spirit blest, And in our souls take up Thy rest, Come with Thy grace and Heavenly aid, To fill the hearts which Thou hast made. Great Paraclete! To Thee we cry, O highest gift of God most high! O fount of life! O fire of love! And sweet anointing from above. Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts art known, The finger of God's hand we own; The promise of the Father, Thou! Who dost the tongue with power endow. Kindle our senses from above, And make our hearts over flow with love; With patience firm and virtues high, The weakness of our flesh supply. Far from us drive the foe we dread, And grant us Thy true peace instead; So shall we not, with Thee for guide, Turn from the path of life aside. And, may Thy grace on us bestow The Father and the Son to know, And Thee through endless times confessed Of both the Eternal Spirit blest. All glory while the ages run Be to the Father and the Son Who rose from death; the same to Thee, O Holy Spirit, eternally. Amen. Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament, pray for us. Laura
