By Laura Worhacz Easter Blessings! St Peter Julian Eymard's Words: The Resurrection "This is the sweet and intimate invitation which calls us to Communion;..."come, be not afraid," I am the God of your heart. " (Taken from: St. Peter Julian Eymard, Library Vol. 2 Holy Communion page 115) MEDITATION St. Peter Julian calls us to the God of our hearts! The spirit of the Lord is upon us! We live in the Paschal Mystery of our salvation, life, death and Resurrection. Life in Christ by our Baptism, to the Cross of Jesus Christ by our sufferings and death, Resurrection for us in the Blessed Sacrament; this is EASTER! We are united to Heaven here and now. Referring to the passage set below, Jesus said, "This day this scripture has been fulfilled." (Lk 4:21) The scripture continues to be fulfilled in our lives upon the Reception of Holy Communion; we live our life in the LIVING GOD! May your Easter be Blessed so you can heal the brokenhearted, proclaim a favorable year to all, so the LORD may be Glorified. Jesus Christ is truly Risen Alleluia! "We believe in the good things of the Lord in the land of the living." (Psalm 27:13) Our invitation is to Communion for the sweet and intimate Love that comes from OUR FATHER. Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament keep us in the life, death and Resurrection of your Son, Jesus Christ. Keep us close to the Holy Eucharist. Isaiah 61:1-3 Exaltation of the Afflicted The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To grant those who mourn in Zion, Giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning, The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting, So they will be called oaks of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
